Emblem of Roto, fully titled Dragon Quest Saga: Emblem of Roto (ドラゴンクエスト列伝 ロトの紋章, Dragon Quest Retsuden: Roto no Monsho, translated as Dragon Quest Biography: Emblem of Roto) and also known as - Dragon Quest: Emblem of Roto or Emblem of Roto: Dragon Quest Saga, is the Japanese animated film based on the homonymous comic.

Like the comic series, it is phối about a century after the events of Dragon Quest III and it works as a side story between the first chapters of the comic. It was directed by Tsukasa Sunaga, who, along with Akihiko Takadera, wrote the screenplay. The film was animated by studio Nippon Animation. Kaoru Wada composed the music.

The three short film were simultaneously screened as part of the GW Anime Festival '96 that featured these popular series from Enix's Monthly Shonen Gangan.

The film was also released in Italy in VHS format by Yamato Video.

Setting[]
